Altogether the home caters for 90 residents.
The home is set in its own grounds with a large garden area at the rear, ample car parking spaces and a good range of sitting rooms. Through our fundraising activities we have introduced a beautiful I.T. Suite and The John Watts Sensory Garden. This garden was part funded by a grant from Belfast City Council, Local Investment Fund and our own in-house activities.
Our aim is to meet the needs of our residents providing safe accommodation with high quality, appropriate person centred care and activities in a manner that reflect their rights and is consistent with our obligations to them, their families and friends.
The Trust`s purpose is as set out in the company`s Memorandum of Association and may be summarised as:
To provide good quality accommodation for older people, physically disabled and residents requiring dementia care irrespective of their means.
To Provide a range of activities appropriate to the assessed needs of our residents
We keep our aims and objectives under continuous review using our Quality Assurance process to ensure that we meet the needs of our residents. In addition directors carry out monthly review of the operation of the home to ensure that this is the case and to identify any issues concerning the residents, their care or their accommodation that may require to be addressed. The home is also subject to regular inspection by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority.
